When designing the first Imperial Milk Porter, we knew we wanted to create something very special, which we also envisioned as a fruity Night Shift batch. The condensed base beer was transferred to freshly emptied Pedro Ximénez Sherry and rum barrels for 6 months, allowing the woody notes of the barrel to enhance the base beer's cherry, poppyseed, and subtly milky chocolate flavor profile, creating this truly pastry-like, full-bodied batch.
